Ludus Achieves Over 32,000 Exercises and 6,400 Hours of Usage in 2023

Ludus’ virtual reality training platform for safety and health continues to experience significant growth year after year. According to usage statistics collected, in 2023, Ludus’ customers accumulated a total of 6,402 hours of training, during which they completed 32,498 exercises.

The 6,402 hours of usage recorded in 2023 reflect an impressive 73% increase compared to the 3,696 hours achieved in the previous year. Similarly, the number of exercises completed also grew substantially, with 32,498 exercises marking a 57% rise from the 20,754 exercises completed in 2022.

Looking further back, the platform’s growth becomes even more striking. In 2021, the total number of exercises completed was close to 9,000, meaning that between 2021 and 2023, exercises completed on the Ludus platform surged by an incredible 261%.

Average Monthly Usage of the Ludus Platform in 2023

In 2023, the total of 6,402 hours of usage translates to an average of over 533 hours per month. Meanwhile, the monthly average for exercises completed on the platform reached 2,708.

Usage by Key Customer Types

Companies Training Their Own Employees:
Ludus clients that focus on training their employees completed nearly 8,500 exercises on the platform in 2023, representing a growth of 178% compared to 2022. These 8,485 exercises made up more than a quarter of the platform’s total exercises for the year.

External Prevention Services:
External prevention services used Ludus VR to deliver health and safety training to their clients, amassing a total of 23,243 exercises completed in 2023—a 64% growth over the previous year. Virtual reality not only enhances training effectiveness but also helps prevention services expand their clientele. For instance, Ludus client Europreven managed to train over 7,000 workers in person and over 2,000 remotely within just a year and a half using the platform.

Most Used Ludus Simulations in 2023

The top three simulations on the Ludus platform in 2023 were:

  1. Fire Extinguisher Training:
    This simulation led in terms of usage hours, with 1,244 hours recorded in 2023. It ranked second in terms of exercises completed, with 5,008 exercises. Data from the platform showed that in half of the sessions, students made mistakes while tackling fires.
  2. Hand Risk Prevention:
    The hand accidents simulation recorded the second-highest number of usage hours in 2023, totaling 843 hours. It completed 4,537 exercises, ranking as the third most-used simulation. In 50% of the sessions, students made mistakes that led to virtual amputations, highlighting the simulation’s effectiveness in raising awareness of workplace hazards.
  3. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR):
    The CPR simulation ranked third in usage hours, with 731 hours logged in 2023. However, it took the lead in the number of exercises completed, with 5,922 exercises. Alarmingly, platform statistics revealed that in 58% of CPR courses, students forgot to call emergency services, a critical step in real-life situations.
