Multi-Channel Addressable Early Warning ASD Detection Design for High-Risk Fire Equipment

August 16, 2024

Building on our initial solution featuring the Early Warning Aspirating Smoke Detector (ASD) combined with the Cabinet Smoke Detector CSD-10 and Remote Display Unit, AVA Prevent offers an enhanced solution: the CSS Multi-Channel Addressable Detection with Pinpointer.

The CSS-10 is designed for installation on one side of the switchboard, with each sampling tube extending to the protective cabinet. Air sampling holes are strategically placed in locations prone to smoke generation during a fire, such as:

  • The top of the cabinet
  • The exhaust or cooling fan area
  • Air return grills
  • Concealed partitions

Our PinPointer-C8S is a Multi-Channel Addressable Cabinet Smoke Detector that includes 8 CSS-10 units and features a 4.3” touchscreen front display. This screen provides real-time information, such as analogue smoke values, airflow values, alarm status, fault alerts, and isolate conditions. It also allows users to program and adjust the parameter settings for each CSS-10 unit.

If you need to protect more than 8 cabinets, you can expand the system by adding a PinPointer-12S, which comes with an additional 12 CSS-10 units.

Key Benefits of This Solution:

  • Precise Location of Fire: Instantly identify the origin of the fire with pinpoint accuracy.
  • Real-Time Display: Monitor the progress of smoke or fire directly on the front display.
  • No Smoke Dilution: Each cabinet receives highly sensitive, early warning notifications without the risk of smoke dilution.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Collect and analyze smoke data from each cabinet continuously, enabling early detection of potential issues before they escalate.

This advanced solution provides exceptional protection for high-risk fire equipment, ensuring early detection and swift response to potential fire hazards.
